Hans Melzer discovered Braxi. I tried him out with Chris Bartle and I was immediately enthusiastic about him. Then Kurt Gravemeier tested his jumping ability and within a few days he moved to my stable. I bought him in partnership with Thomas Holtrop for whose support I am very grateful. While I was pregnant Fritz Butt had approached me about developing a competition horse together with him. Therefore I am very pleased that I now have a very promising horse in my stable that was bred by him. Mrs. Butt and I decided together to name this horse Butts Abraxxas in his honour, in memory of a great horseman with high ideals who did an enormous amount for the sport of eventing.

I am convinced of Braxxi's ability in all phases of the sport. He is personable but self confident. It is a pleasure to work with him every day; he is always in a good mood. He never makes a mistake in cross-country, he searches for every jump and is very skilful. He boasts great fitness, stamina and speed. He mastered the jump into three-star competition in 2006. His CCI*** victory in Stzegom and his third place finish at the CIC*** at Thirlestane Castle earned him his FEI qualification. With his crowning finish in Patroni del Vivaro we ended the season tenth in the European Championships for 2007. So now we have another champion horse in the stable!
